How to convert Unix timestamps

The Timestamp Converter turns Unix epoch values into readable dates and back — instantly, in your browser.

Timestamp → Date

  1. Enter a Unix timestamp. The tool auto-detects whether it's in seconds (10 digits) or milliseconds (13 digits).
  2. You immediately get:
    • UTC time
    • Your local time zone
    • ISO 8601 (2024-01-01T00:00:00.000Z)
    • The equivalent in seconds and milliseconds
    • A relative description (e.g. "2 hours ago")

Date → Timestamp

  1. Use the date-time picker to choose a calendar date and time (interpreted in your local time zone).
  2. Read off the Unix seconds, milliseconds, and ISO value.

Tip

Click Now to fill both fields with the current moment — handy for sanity-checking offsets.
