Spellkit

Privacy Policy

Spellkit(“the Service”) is built to collect as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what information the Service handles and which third-party services it uses.

1. Core principle — in-browser processing

Most tools — image, video, PDF, and audio conversion, image splitting, background removal, and more — run entirely inside your browser. Files you open are never uploaded to our servers and are discarded after processing. We cannot see or store the contents of your files.

2. Information we handle

  • On-device settings (local storage):Preferences like theme (dark/light) and favorites are stored only in your browser’s local storage. They are never sent to a server.
  • Short URLs: When you use the URL shortener, the original and generated short link are stored on our server so the link can work. Do not shorten URLs that contain personal data.
  • Access logs: Standard web-server logs (IP address, timestamp, browser info) may be recorded temporarily for operation and security.

The Service has no accounts and does not collect names, phone numbers, or addresses.

3. Third-party services

The Service may use the following third parties for some features and operations:

  • Google AdSense (ads): When ads are enabled, Google and partners may use cookies to serve personalized ads. See Google’s advertising policies. Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are asked for consent via a Consent Management Platform.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics / Plausible): If enabled, used to measure aggregate, anonymous visit statistics.
  • Kakao Maps:The Meeting Point Finder loads the Kakao Maps SDK to display a map, subject to Kakao’s policies.
  • Google Safe Browsing:Before saving a short URL, the submitted URL may be checked against Google’s database to detect malware or phishing.

4. Cookies

The Service itself needs almost no cookies. However, when ads or analytics are enabled, the third-party services above may set cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

5. Data retention & security

Short-URL data is retained as long as needed to operate the Service. Traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. To delete a specific short link, email us at the address below.

6. Your rights

You may request access to or deletion of data related to you. Most settings can be cleared by clearing your browser data; other requests can be handled by email.

7. Children’s privacy

The Service does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; changes will be posted here with an updated date at the top.
